Wikipedia censuré !
Encore des personnes, ici une entreprise, qui n’ont peut être pas réellement compris comment agir pour soigner leur image grâce au web 2.0. Après l’histoire entre entreparticuliers.com et le site ralblog, voilà que l’entreprise Cortix, spécialisée dans la conception de sites web, attaque (au sens non juridique du terme) un pilier du web 2.0, l’encyclopédie participative Wikipedia.
Cortix désire voir enlever un paragraphe qui évoque des polémiques sur ses méthodes de vente. Selon eux, l’article de Wikipédia “manque de contenu et d’impartialité” et “cause un dommage à la société Cortix”.
Christophe Henner, administrateur du site Wikipedia explique que “l’entreprise qui s’occupe de l’image de marque de cette société nous a demandé de retirer cet article, mais à partir du moment où nous avons des sources externes issues de journaux, nous n’avions pas raison de le supprimer. Nous n’avons fait aucune diffamation”. Il ajoute que “le compte de Hington Klarsey, issu de l’entreprise Cortix, a été banni”. Entre autre, “cet utilisateur voulait constamment faire retirer le passage qui créait la polémique [...] il n’y avait aucune raison de le supprimer.”
En attendant, la juge du Tribunal de grande instance a décidé, dans une ordonnance en référé, de demander la suppression de l’article en question pendant 30 jours.
Je ne me prononcerai pas sur qui a raison ou qui a tort, mais j’en connais un qui risque de se prendre un bon bad buzz…

D’après l’expérience d’un de mes amis et selon divers articles que j’ai pu lire, il semblerait (et je parle au conditionnel) que l’entreprise propose la création de sites internet “gratuits” moyennant une sorte d’abonnement. Mais je ne connais pas réellement les causes du mécontentement de certaines personnes ayant eu affaire à cette société.

Wikipédia c’est justeun site et une marque, pas une personne physique ou morale - quand vous avez un problème avec le TGV, vous attaquez la SNCF et non le TGV. Donc a priori, ce serait Wikimedia Foundation qui serait attaquée.
Ensuite… Wikimedia Foundation n’a pas été attaquée. Si, si. Une juge parisienne a pris une ordonnance ordonnant certaines mesures provisoires à Wikimedia, à la requête d’une entreprise qui s’estime lésée non pas par Wikimedia mais par des tiers.

Je ne peux qu’approuver ce qui a été indiqué par “Référence nécessaire”. Cependant, comme je l’indique chez moi (mon blog, quoi), la question du “droit à la fiche” se pose sérieusement sur Wikipédia. On verra bien pour la suite …

Dans cette histoire, chacun à ses tords j’ai bien l’impression. Sans doute que cela va permettre deux changements : une évolution des méthodes de vente de la société en question et un remaniement de ce type d’article sur wikipedia.
Je ne connais pas le fond du dossier aussi ce n’est pas sur ce plan que j’interviens. Wikipédia est un outil formidable d’intelligence collective,sans doute n’est-il pas parfait. Nous savons tous la valeur relative des contributions, qui vont de l’excellence à des apportts plus modestes. Mais dans tous les cas sa vraie valeur reste la capacité d’intervention de chacun dans un projet collectif. Bien sûr cela peut comporter certains risques de n’être pas mis en valeur comme on pourrait le souhaiter, surtout du point de vue marketing d’une société.Ce risque il faut pouvoir l’accepter, c’est le prix de notre liberté d’expression….
