Le basketteur n’avait pas été prévenu par ses dirigeants mais un présentateur de la chaîne sportive ESPN a annoncé qu’il quittait les Phoenix Suns pour les Miami Heat (à la place de Shaquille O’Neal).
Shawn Marion, alors assis dans son canapé, est totalement stupéfait.
Lorsque son téléphone s’est mis à sonner, le sportif a réalisé que ce n’était pas une blague !
“Au début, j’étais sous le choc, affirme le basketteur, mais cela arrive. Tout arrive pour une raison. On pourrait pousser l’explication un peu plus loin, mais ce qui est fait est fait. Je souhaite bonne chance à tout le monde à Phoenix. J’avoue que ce transfert m’a pris par surprise. Mais, honnêtement, je l’ai digéré”.
