Caricature des soldats morts en Afghanistan
Petit rappel des faits : En aout 2008, 10 soldats français trouvent la mort dans une embuscade tendue par les talibans. S’ensuit un énorme phénomène médiatique pendant de nombreux jours. Cette information fait la une des JT de 20 heures nombre de fois.
Aujourd’hui, la polémique fait rage sur une caricature parue en Belgique dans le journal flamand “De Morgen”. Simon Loueckote, sénateur de la Nouvelle Calédonie s’est empressé d’écrire une lettre au président de la république pour crier son indignation.

Pour ma part, je juge cette caricature certes cynique, mais absolument pas dégradante que ce soit pour les français dans leur ensemble, pour l’armée, pour les proches des défunts ou encore pour les défunts eux-mêmes. Il me semble totalement inapproprié de s’indigner sur une simple caricature, d’autant plus que la satire est ici très loin d’être violente. Je ne souhaite pas que la France, les français où ici un représentant de la république tombent la facilité de l’émotion en adoptant un “déni de logique“. L’affaire des Caricatures de Mahomet avait fait assez de remue ménage comme ça, inutile de faire du bruit pour d’un dessin somme toute… banal et non dégradant.
