Firefox 3 Beta 1 est arrivé !
Mozilla vient de mettre en ligne la bêta tant attendue de son navigateur Firefox. Les versions bêta correspondent à des versions non définitives, donc pas de panique si quelque chose déconne 
Après de longues phases de test et des retards nombreux au sein de la fondation, Firefox 3.0 bêta 1 est enfin disponible, et montre un panel complet de ce que va proposer la version finale.
La principale nouveauté de cette version 3.0, et qui est largement mise en avant ici, se nomme Places. C’est le gestionnaire de l’historique permettant de retrouver facilement les pages visitées. Places trie également les pages par ordre de préférence, et il est capable de détecter les sites qui sont visités le plus souvent par l’internaute pour l’y conduire plus rapidement. A tester.
Firefox passe désormais fièrement le test Acid2, ce qui signifie qu’il est compatible avec les dernières normes du Web établies par le consortium W3C. C’est un point crucial pour tous les développeurs, et c’est en partie pour cela que je vous conseille d’utiliser Firefox et non Internet Explorer.
